Roatan, Honduras

This is the day I was looking forward to.  Sid not so much but he decided he liked swimming with the dolphins.

A group that were performing as we arrived at Roatan.  I don't know if they kept it up all day or not but they were still dancing we got back that afternoon.

We boarded a bus and it took us where we got into a boat that took us to another island.

I was taking these pictures with a underwater camera that didn't have zoom so I was tickled that these pictures turned out so well.

The kissing dolphins we bought on a CD.

Then we were off to the beach for the rest of the day. The rest of the pictures were taken with the underground water camera that didn't zoom. Just point and shoot.

The first lunch of Red Beans and Rice, melons and a so called coleslaw. (I should give them my recipe)

All the beach chairs were in the sun.

 Beautiful beach and water.

We found a coconut tree and the security person moved some chairs under neath.

The end of a great day.  It was about 3 in the afternoon so we went to the ship and relaxed some more and ate.

Cruise favorites

I loved the fancy restaurants that were on the ship and the food they served.

This was Dinner at the Venetian.

Didn't take any more pictures at the Aqua Dining Room.  Small portions so we starting eating most of our meals at the buffet.

We also loved going into our cabin at night and seeing the towel animals our steward left us.

Then the last night of the cruise they had a Chocoholic Buffet

We just walked through and took pictures, well Sid tried one thing and so did I, they all looked sooo good.

The shows we went to were good.  Sid slept through the loudest one and then we decided to just go to the  Gatsby's Lounge and listen to our favorite pianist and singer Ariel Jacobe.  The 1st night he did a Frank Sinatra Tribute, 3rd night Nat King Cole Tribute, 4th night Jazz Divas with Margie Hobbs {loved her singing}, listened to Big Band the 6th night and finished with Crooners with Ariel.

They love to have you sit there and drink.  First night Sid and I got non-alcoholic drinks, after that we drank water (FREE).

Our Cruise of the Western Caribbean

Our children decided to give Sid and Me a cruise for our 50th anniversary, that was in Dec, and we waited until now to take them up on it.
April 6th, Saturday, we drove up to Tina's and spent the night.  Lincoln and Tina took us to the airport the next morning and we flew to Tampa where we boarded the Norwegian Dawn.

Picture was taken as we boarded.

Looking at Tampa Florida from the ship

While we were waiting for our room we went up to the buffet and ate lunch.  Then at 2:00 pm we were able to go to our room.  The kids gave us a balcony which was really nice.

 A big bed
nice shower

I thought it would be smaller but it was really spacious.  There was even chocolate covered strawberries, that we ate before I thought of pictures. Also a Italian Dinner for two at the La Cucina.

Forgot to get pictures of the main dish, but it was delicious

About 8 waiters came to our table with this dessert, made Sid and me hold hands while they sang I Love you Truly, in harmony, and had Sid sing the last line.  It brought tears to both of our eyes.  Thank you kids!!!!

First Sunset from a cruise ship.  It was beautiful.

The second day we spent at sea.
We were up early and walked around Deck 13. Boy was there a wind blowing.  Had to hold on to the hand rails at all times.

Breakfast buffet.  To much food to chose from.

Middle of the day from our balcony.
