I thought I would be brave and try these Crash-hot potatoes from the pioneer woman. Dad says they are the best potatoes he has eaten.
I didn't have the right potato masher so dad mashed them with a quart jar. I forgot to get some fresh herbs at the store but I had bought some green onions and I used them.
Both of us voted to have them again and I am going to try and find a potato masher at the second hand store.

Mom, I bought a potato masher at an antique store in Crisfield, MD when Steve and I went away just lately. You may borrow it anytime. I just had to buy it because I hadn't seen any like it in the stores and strawberry jam just hasn't been the same without the correct mashing device. I paid a whomping $12.00 for it so we should make sure to use it lots. Trudy

It works now Halley. Thank You for letting me know.
I'm surprised you are eating hot potatoes in the hot hot eastern weather :) We could use some heat. We were at a whopping 54 degrees today at around 12!!
I will have to go check out the recipe, I'm sure it is wonderful.
