I think that spring has arrived. I have had purple flowers blooming since the middle of January but now my daffodils are blooming along side my purple flowers and my patio blueberries are blooming out also. Everywhere I go now I'm seeing daffodils, a good sign of spring.
I couldn't get a good picture of the blueberries but you can see the buds are opening. I hope it doesn't freeze.
I planted hollyhocks a couple a years ago and this one is growing in the crack of the sidewalk.
I had to go out to the garden to see about my rhubarb. I only found one plant, but it looks like it has spread so maybe I'll be able to get a pie and some jam.
No new calves or colts to be seen; this is one thing I miss about being on the farm, but I still love seeing the new plants come through the earth and trees blooming and knowing that warm weather is just around the corner.
