Thanksgiving At Trudy's

When our family was all in Utah we had big dinners with all the family being there.  Lincoln, Tina and their four children would come, Steve, Trudy and their five children, George, Lora and their four children. The total was 21 people. Sid Jr and his family were in Texas or it would have been 24.  In today's world our boys are on the West Coast, Baxter is in California, three of Tina's children are in Salt Lake, and one of George's is in Idaho. WOW!!!

This year we had Thanksgiving at Trudy's home.  It was small but very good.  We had great food, my daughters are great cooks, and wonderful company.  We differed a little this year and played games after we ate. FUN, FUN.

Stevie

Last Thursday was Stevie's last day in the 5th grade so Dad and I went to her graduation.  Stevie is the last of the grandchildren to be in Elementary school. I am going to miss her coming in every morning, eating breakfast and practicing the piano, but I know that life goes on.

A Little Jaunt

I love to go on little jaunts and see the country.  Today Sid was a captured person.  He had a doctor's appointment at the Dean building that didn't take very long soooooo on our way back home we made a side trip.
I have been reading this sign since 2005 when we moved here.  I mistakenly thought it was the seafood place across the street from the sign.  Then a couple a Sunday's ago I realized this sign, and one other down the road, had an arrow that led to the right. hmmmm  Well today instead of going straight on Three Notch Road we made a right.

Following the signs this is what we found on the Patuxent River.

We trespassed so Sid could take this picture of the Patuxent River.  While we were taking pictures of the restaurant another car and a couple on a motorcycle came by site seeing also.

On the way back to the main road we both took pictures.  Besides liking big trees I also like old barns.

Then Sid found his dream home.

At a stop sign was this historical marker.  Sid took this picture so we wouldn't hold up traffic.  Don't laugh I had to drive away before he found out if it was a good picture because a pickup came up behind us..
A good afternoon with my sweetie!!!!

Last Day Two Days

Saturday was another sea day.

Sid did some of his laundry hung his pants on the deck and others in the shower.

The sunset was so beautiful.  Earlier in the day they had a Mexican Sail-Away at poolside which we indulged in and then finished up at the buffet.  I only gained 4 pounds and I have lost 3 1/2 pounds since we have been home.

At the Grand Atrium we listened to the Big Band, they played the music of Tommy Dorsey, Frank Sinatra, and others. Had our usual water drink.  Finished off listening to  Ariel until midnight.

Sid trying to get through the security without taking out his laptop.  No go.

Couldn't pass up this picture of a huge iguana in the airport.

Then home and Tina was waiting for us at the Reagan Airport.

What a delightful week.  It seems like a dream now.  Loved every minute of it, being with my sweetie and knowing that my children had to sacrifice to give us this cruise.  I truly love each and everyone of them and their spouses.  I can never thank them enough.
