Roses

Yesterday when I took Stevie out to get on the bus it started to rain.  On the way back into the house I noticed my rose bushes and one was so pretty that I went out and cut a bouquet.

I love the raindrops that show on the roses.  Oh, and they smell sooooo good.

Jupiter and the Moon

Yesterday dad and I went and had our telescope welded so we could look at Jupiter next to the moon.  We haven't used the telescope since we have been here.  The other night you could see Jupiter just underneath the moon but tonight it was to the right.  It just showed up as a white spot in the telescope but it was still interesting.

I tried another night picture without the flash but to much movement.

I should have had my camera earlier.  Steve, Trudy, Ceci, Zane, Noah, Stevie and me all took turns looking at Jupiter and the moon.  The moon was the most interesting.  If you looked at the perimeter of the moon you could see the jagged peaks around the craters.

Just a crazy picture of a orange moon.  We need a better telescope to see the planets better, but it was fun.

Finishing up the pellet bin

Trudy and I actually helped Dad put on the top.

Now all that is left to do is load it up with pellets.

Gravity fed hopper for pellets

Steven and Trudy have a pellet stove in their basement that helps heat their house in the winter.  Last week Steve and Baxter went and got 2 loads of pellets and put them in the shed.
Well anyone that knows dad knows that he decided that they needed a gravity fed hopper.  He worked up the plans and showed them to Steve.  Last Saturday Steve built two outside wall panels and put them up. Then yesterday dad decided we needed 10 more 2x4s.  All we had to haul them in is our ford.

This reminded me when we had our corvair back in the 60's.  Dad would send me to town for plywood or sheet rock and I would tie it down to the top of the car and drive home from Delta doing about 5 miles per hour (15 miles) so it wouldn't blow off.  I did have some sheet rock fly off once, so embarrassing.
Dad sat behind me yesterday and no one was the wiser of what we were hauling.  Just looked like dad had his own chauffeur.
It is coming along nicely.

Hopefully he can get this finished soon.  Every night dad comes in so tired and then puts our tub to good use soaking in bubble bath and running the jets.

Friday Night

Last night Trudy and I went to Tina's to a Premier Designs Party.  What a hoot.

It reminded me of when I sold Jewelry some 30 odd years ago.  The lady that was doing the party knew how to put everyone at ease.  The theme was Sandals & Salsa and we were laughing all evening!!!!.

Besides it is beautiful and has some niffy stuff.

A want or need

OK, I have a working refrigerator.

As you can see it doesn't fill in the space it is in and I can put onions, olive oil and other things in the space.  It also holds my magnets with recipes and pictures.

A WANT or a NEED!!!!!

Whether it was a need or not we have our want.
