Noah's Birthday and Pumpkins

Trudy and Tina got together and decided that yesterday, Oct 23, 2010 would be a good day to get together to carve pumpkins and celebrate Noah's birthday at the same time.  At 4 in the afternoon Lincoln, Tina and Mckay came with their 3 pumpkins and designs and were ready to go.

Trudy and I had run to the store earlier for our pumpkins and I had found my ancient books of designs and assorted knives.   Trudy in her travels found some paint with designs and other goodies.

We were all ready.

 Steve got through first.

When we were through craving we went into to Trudy's for Dinner.  She had made broccoli cheese soup, ham chowder and finger bread.

Clocks

The other day I borrowed Trudy's vehicle. I kept looking at the clock and the time was WAY off. I didn't realize how much I look at the time where ever I am.

Dad and I figured it out. In our front room we have 10 clocks of some kind.
Sun room 2, bedroom 3, and the bathroom 2; that makes a grand total of 17 in the small space we live in, then there are 2 in the car.

Needless to say while waiting for Sid I changed the clock in Trud's car.  I couldn't stand looking at the wrong time.

A gift from a dear friend who is now departed. It was handpainted by her.

The Sid Cell

This is project that Sid has been working on for the last 3 years. The neat thing is, it really works. If you watch the WHOLE thing you can see the results some truckers have been getting. I just wish it worked on cars, have to figure out how to fool the computers in the cars. Not easy.

Oyster Festival 2010

We have been in Maryland 5 years and have never been to the Oyster Festival at the St. Mary's fairgrounds.  It was very interesting, but I forgot my camera and so tried to take some pictures with my cell phone.
The temperature was just right in the low 60's with a good steady wind. We started with the exhibits and ate as we went.  The first oysters we ate were grilled and we each ate 5.  Hmmmm delicious.

As we went along there was all kinds of food but we divided an oyster sandwich which you really can't see because the sun was so bright I couldn't see where to aim the cell phone.  But I could have eaten the whole thing, it was sooooo good.

The last time I had a funnel  cake was in Texas. So when we saw the sign for funnel cakes we decided to finish off with dessert.  It was great!!!!!
I would certainly go again.  It was a fun morning.  Dad and I both found a blue heron wooden figure 3' foot tall painted beautifully that we both wanted but it was to much money, sigh.  I should have taken some information so we could have contacted the person that did it. I would sure love it have it.  hmmm. sigh.

It WORKS

This is a video of Dad trying out the new bin loader he made.  It is a little long but good clear video if I do say so myself.

The pictures below are of Steve after he and Baxter filled the pellet bin.

Site Window to see the level of pellets.  It will turn black when the pellets are below the window.
The Bin only half full and all the pellets are in!!!!!!  This was taken through a little hole.
