On Wednesday night after I gave my last piano lesson, Sid and I went to the Texas Road House for dinner. It was really good. I really liked their dill fries. Then Thursday morning after putting Stevie on the school bus we headed over to Virginia to the Luray Caverns. Tina had given us tickets in October and I saved them for now hoping for good weather, and it was a beautiful day.
Do not stop on the bridge all the signs say, sooo here we are stopped on the up hill of the bridge. They were doing repairs and one lane traffic only.
We made good time and here is dad waiting in the cafe for the next tour.
This is at the start of the tour and the only time I used the flash on my camera. I hope you enjoy all the pictures.
After the caves we went through a Car and Carriage Caravan. Their cars, carriages and costumes dated back to 1725.
I know to many pictures, but these are just a few that I took. Then it was back on the road home.
No one told me that the mountain road was so winding and steep. It reminded me of Cabbage Hill as a kid.
This doesn't do justice to to road.
All in all we had a great day, loved every minute of it, we both would do again. There is so much to see that you can't do it all in one day.
