Brazing Rod

Last Monday while I was washing my last load of clothes there came such a awful noise.  I thought the washing machine was going to fall apart.  Dad said it had to be the motor, so he ordered a new one and it was here by Wednesday.  He installed it and ran the machine through its cycle and low and behold during the spin cycle the machine again did its awful noise again. Hmmmm not the motor maybe its capacitor.  Went to stores all around, you guessed it no one had a capacitor, called and one store could have it by today.  Well to make the story short, Dad got down on the floor and started looking and listening and it was the water pump.
HMMMMMM

I don't check pockets and this little culprit had been in dad's pocket and had worked itself through the holes in the tub and into the water pump.  It is a good thing the company will take back the motor that we bought, because the old motor is back in the washer.   Thank heavens that dad can fix anything.  It saves us lots of money.

Yep, Dad can fix anything. Now if you could just get him to clean his pockets :-)

That rod looks huge in the picture . . . but it is such a small thing that caused a large problem!!!
