One of these things you wonder if you did the right thing?

The other night we had a salesman come and show us a food plan that will save us money on food each month.  He was a very nice man and he cooked the free meat and vegetable that he had brought with him.  It was very good and then he went on to show us how we could save money on our grocery bill.  He did shave off about $300.00 for the month.  We ordered and they brought the food put it in the freezer.  This is done on a six month basis.  Then we pay monthly. This is our first order.  They arrived this morning at 7 a.m.

We also ordered some none perishables.  As I look at those I don't think it will last 6 months.

This guys really know how to tuck it all in.

All in.

Hopefully we learn from this first order.  They don't sell fresh fruit or dairy so I'll keep track of what  I spend on those and decided if we done good.
Now I need to find a place to put all of this stuff.
We did buy a new freezer, we didn't need to, but it is a better one.  I didn't really like getting into the chest freezer.  Because of that, we did get additional 20% off the food bill each month.
Hmmmm.

Pretty interesting . . . . it'll be interesting to see how it works out for you. Do they give you recipes or do you just tell them what you normally use, or do they have lists? or what? It'd be nice not to have to go out shopping and wouldn't it be great if it lasted longer than 6 months????

Mom said the food the man fixed was good, hmmmmmmm? That was the most tasty pork chop, lemon chicken, medallion beef and cut green beans I have tasted in a very long time.
IT WAS EXCELLENT !!!!!

I suspect that we should have evaluated the costs a little more definitively. But we will do that for sure next time.

Over all it feels good having a freezer full of quality food.

Go to Heartland.com. They do have recipes. We just told the guy what we eat and he ordered for us. They did bring a list of their products but with no prices. They sure have a good variety, maybe not weightwatcher conscience though.

you will definitely have to let us know! we are very interested, but have no room for an extra freezer right now. we'll have to wait till we get our shed and then we'll see...

The guy was supposed to come to our house but he called just before we left for FL and hasn't called back. I'm interested to know how he saved you $300/mo on groceries!

Wow. That is a lot of food! And he sure stuffed it in there pretty good! I hope it lasts you and that it stays good for that long.

There is your 6 month food storage until you need it again. Haha.
