The Hurricane

We were lucky, we weren't home when the earthquake was felt.  Having cell phones now days, I had 4 women from our ward call to find out how we had fared.  It is nice to know that our ward family is concerned for us.  That being said, our flight from Oregon arrived here in Maryland Saturday morning at 12:30 am.  We drove home, stopping only for some diet coke, to keep us awake, and to fill the car with gas.  We were home by 2:30 pm.  The weather was great, no rain, no wind.
Later in the day Saturday, the rain and wind started and we lost electricity.  We were some of the lucky ones, our power was back on Sunday afternoon, we also had a generator.

Our neighbor's tree fell through the fence into our yard.

Trees are leaning and need to be taken out.

Same tree but on the other side of the house.

 Neighbor's tree across the street.

Neighbors across the street.

 Our front yard.

Cords to our refrigerator, fan and TV.

 Cord to Trudy's refrigerator.

Dad reheating the chili I had made the day before.   We were so lucky compared to others in our area and county.
